Words cannot express how deeply grateful I am for these three, who call me mama. I am daily awe-struck by the way God created them – their personalities, the things that get them rolling in laughter, their inquisitive ponderings, their very individual likes and dislikes…all these things that make them who they are. It blows my mind and humbles me to think that God saw me as best fit to be their mama, because the truth is that I daily feel inadequate. And even that is an understatement! But I believe that is the beauty of it: God is using these three beautiful people to teach me, grow me, and transform me into the mom He desires for me to be. Thank goodness we don’t have to know how to do it all well right when the babies are born, right?! I’m so thankful for this journey of motherhood, even in the midst of the days often feeling mundane and challenging. As a friend of mine out it, “High responsibility, high reward. Wouldn’t change it for a thing.”
