1. Are you still booking weddings?
No, not at this time. After 10 years of shooting weddings, I’ve decided to close that chapter (at least for now!) in order to be fully present with my family on the weekends, and instead focus my time on families/babies/maternity.
2. I am interested in booking a newborn session with you; how and when do I do that?
Book early! I take up to two newborn shoots a week, so I’ll get you on my schedule as soon as possible! I pencil in your due date as soon as I receive your session fee. Once your baby arrives, we will schedule the exact time and date of your shoot. Simply email me and I’ll send out a contract and invoice.
3. What should we wear for our lifestyle newborn or family session?
This is a very important question! In order to achieve light, airy photographs, I recommend my clients to wear light, mostly solid clothing. Think white, cream and light pastels! Upon booking, I send my clients a Style Guide, which also includes information on the pieces available in my Client Wardrobe.
4. What do we wear for our natural newborn session?
The goal of these sessions is to create images that are minimalistic, with the focus on your baby and interactions of you with your baby. For this, I recommend wearing light neutral colors without patterns. Think creams, white, light pink, light grey, etc. For mamas, I recommend loose fitting dresses with feminine details and for the dads, I recommend a casual button-up or t-shirt with khakis or light jeans. It may sound silly, but a white tee on dads looks so great with a baby in a white wrap!
5. How many people can be included in your family session?
Up to six. Contact me for pricing for larger groups.
6. How soon will our photos be ready?
I will share a preview on social media within a week of your shoot, and your online gallery will be ready to be viewed two weeks after your session. If you need your photos guaranteed earlier than this, message me for the expedited gallery fee.
7. Do you photograph births?
As much as I would absolutely love to, at this point, I do not. With three young children of my own at home, I would not be reliable to be on call to photograph a birth! However, I do love Fresh48 sessions in the hospital, taken 1-2 days after the baby’s birth.
8. What is the most important thing we can do to prepare for our shoot with you?
The BIGGEST thing you can do is to get ready to LOVE ON each other!! My goal is to capture a whole lot of snuggles, kisses, tickles, giggles, singing together, and adoring each other! This will happen much more than you being posed as a family together :) So, if your children are not cooperating, no problem! Go with the flow and don’t stress out! I will capture the essence of your family in a beautiful way. Let your sweet kids be kids, and I’ll photograph the beauty of this season of your life!
