Where to begin about Katie and Jack?! I loved being a part of this wedding day, and it was even more special to me because it was my last one of the year before I take a season off from shooting weddings in order to have more time with my babies. It’s a very bittersweet thing to be posting my last wedding for a while! I first met Katie at Leigh & Nick’s wedding. Katie was the maid of honor with the contagious laugh and bubbly spirit, and was SO excited when she chose me to photograph her wedding day!
I love the words Leigh, my former bride, shared with Katie before heading to the church to get married. She said, “Take a mental picture often throughout the day and take it all in – it goes by SO fast.” Such great advice! Katie and Jack’s wedding day did fly by, and there’s no doubt these two loved every single minute of their day!I’ve never been around a group of bridesmaids with as much enthusiasm and energy as this group! There were whoops and hollers and outbursts of laughter and random toasts all morning long – so fun!And these expressions happened every time a close family member of Katie’s walked into the room! This time was when her mom arrived, looking so stunning. Their reactions to her say it all!!Katie and her mom, both sporting their Jimmy Choo’s :)I love this sweet moment between Katie and her grandma.
Another moment I loved! As the men walked outside to step on the trolly, many squeals of excitement filled the room! The bridesmaids told Katie she shouldn’t look, as she wasn’t supposed to see Jack…what bride could resist checking out her groom?! As her bridesmaids came back in from waving to the guys from the balcony, Katie said, “I didn’t see Jack. Oh he looked SO handsome!” haha!
I adore this shot captured by my 2nd shooter, Rebecca. These are moments on a wedding day that will be cherished!
I’m sure you’re thinking – “what in the world?! Why is there a pic of a dog??” Well…their dog, Stella, showed up as a surprise to Jack, to greet the newlyweds! A surprise it was! This photo below? This just happened as we were waiting for the bridal party to get off the trolly. Nope, I did not pose this. They simply are that stunning!Don’t you just LOVE these bridesmaids dresses?! So gorgeous!Katie, you are so very beautiful! We went up to the rooftop for a few last photos before the reception began. What a great view!Jack’s whole family danced their hearts out together during the mother/son dance. So great! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hull! I hope you’re having the time of your lives on your honeymoon, and I wish you the very best as you begin your married lives together! Much love!
