I spent last weekend at a cabin in the woods of Wisconsin surrounded by some of the most genuine, passion-filled photographers I know. It was a retreat led by Emily Steffen & Erin Johnson, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that I had the opportunity to attend. Everything about the weekend was incredible – from the slow pace of the mornings (most definitely a retreat for this mama!) to sharing our life stories, to having my business and work critiqued, to yoga each morning, this gorgeous styled shoot, and more! I came home refreshed and inspired with new ideas for my business and new goals to strive after. Yay for an amazing weekend away!

Emily & Erin created this beautiful styled shoot for us. They have amazing style and it was so fun to watch them in action as well get time of our own to direct the couple. I’ve never shot in the woods like this, and I quickly became enamored with the trees! Why don’t we have woods like this in Kansas City?! :)
